John McCain Can't Remember How Many Mansions He Owns

"Sen. Barack Obama`s campaign pounded Sen. John McCain for his failure to answer a question about how many homes he owns with a new attack ad Thursday.

The Democratic candidate hammered home the same point on the campaign trail in Virginia as the McCain camp battled back.

`Somebody asked John McCain, `How many houses do you have?` and he said, `I`m not sure, I`ll have to check with my staff,` ` Obama said Thursday in Virginia. `True quote. `I`m not sure, I`ll have to check with my staff.` So they asked his staff and he said, `At least four.`"

Many Americans are in danger of losing their homes to foreclosure, but John McCain has a different problem: Remembering how many houses he owns. I guess that`s the new definition of filthy rich: Not knowing how many estates you own.

We have to keep in mind that McCain is older than dirt -- it shouldn`t be surprising that he doesn`t know how many homes he owns.

This story illustrates how out-of-touch McCain is with average Americans, he is incapable of feeling our pain.

McCain relies on his staff for everything, he recently admitted that he doesn`t know how to access the Internet, and that his staff surfs the Net for him. How many homes do I own, I don`t know let me check with my staff. Did I remember to change my Depends today, gee whiz let me check with my staff.

If McCain wants another mansion, he turns to his gazillionaire wife. That`s not a presidential candidate who can empathize with Americans coping with a failing economy.

I think I`m going to vote for the candidate who knows how many houses he owns.
