British Politician: Sarah Palin Is Horrendous
The American press has been circumspect in their criticism of Sarah Palin, John McCain`s controversial VP selection: She lacks foreign policy credentials; she`s a newcomer to national politics; She`s a risky choice; She knows nothing about economics but she`s a quick learner; She`s a neophyte but she`s got cool glasses ...
Let`s not even mention the shameless Republican heavyweights who bite their tongues as they heap praise on the worst VP pick in American history.
Leave it a British politician not to put lipstick on a pig, but to tell it like it is:
"An MP attacked Republican US vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin as `horrendous` at the Labour Party conference on Saturday.
The outburst from Communities Secretary Hazel Blears threatens to undermine Prime Minister Gordon Brown`s determination for the British government to maintain a neutral position in the US presidential election.
... Blears said Palin was capitalising on people`s disillusionment with regular politics.
`I just think there is so much anti-politics -- not just in this country but around the world,` Blears said.
`One of the reasons why Sarah Palin has been such a phenomenon is because she`s anti-politics, anti-Washington.`"
Any reporter, pundit or blogger who doesn`t use the following adjectives in describing Palin should put down his pen for good: Atrocious, horrendous, unbelievable, outrageous...
After eight years of the bumbling and stumbling Bush Administration, we need a president who will restore America`s good name. A Palin/McCain administration would make our country the laughingstock of the world. God forbid that we elect a grouchy and senile old man, and an inexperienced and unqualified woman as our leaders.
Americans are sick and tired of politics as usual, and that`s why at first we were infatuated with the political newcomer. But as we became aware of Palin`s ineptitude and inexperience her ratings dropped like a stone.
Sen. Barack Obama did not treat his Veep selection as a joke, he selected Sen. Joe Biden as his running mate, an experienced and respected statesman.
If McCain becomes president will he appoint Elisabeth Hasselbeck of "The View" to the Supreme Court just because she`s anti-abortion?
Hazel Blears is correct: Palin is horrendous and McCain is shameless.
