Michelle Obama Chats With Children At The White House

By Robert Paul Reyes

During a press briefing Press Secretary Robert Gibbs will field questions about the stimulus package, credit card reform and health care reform. These are all important issues, but let`s face it; the typical White House press conference is very boring.

Reporters tend to ask questions of interest only to policy wonks and people who don`t have a life. Children on the other hand, ask the questions that are on everybody`s mind.

Michelle Obama met with a group of children visiting the White House Thursday, and she fielded several questions from them.

"Mrs. Obama answered questions from children attending a program marking Take Your Child to Work Day.
She said would pick being first lady if she had to choose from any job in the White House." The Associated Press

Most of the kids asked questions about Bo, the White House pooch. The First Lady revealed that Bo is "kind of crazy" and that he "loves to chew on people`s feet."

Mrs. Obama confessed that she loves to sneak out of the White House with her friends and go to a fast food joint. That may be a slight exaggeration, it`s impossible for the First Lady to sneak out of the White House without a team of secret service agents trailing her.

She told the children that her least favorite thing to do in the White House is running the treadmill. Her favorite thing to do in the White House is probably making love in the Lincoln Bedroom, although I doubt she would divulge that information to the tykes.

The White House correspondents should take a hint from the children and ask Gibbs and Obama at least a couple of personal questions.
