Pet's are the Silent Victims of Katrina

Pet's are the Silent Victims of Katrina

By Anne Laszlo Howard

Unconditional Love to the Very End

New Jersey-NJ (rushprnews) - The headlines seemed to resemble the latest doom’s day movie, but it was real, and for the thousands effected by Hurricane Katrina, the fall of 2005 will never be forgotten.  After you sift through the news stories of the flooding, loss of personal property, and government short comings you find tragedy within the tragedy: The Pets of Katrina. People were forced to evacuate, only to find out that they had to leave a family member behind.  This harsh reality leads to one of the largest pet rescue operations in history.

Now All Pets Radio and Unconditional Friends.com present, “The Pets of Katrina: One Year Later”, an online memorial.  On this special one-of-a-kind website you will find Photos of the rescue operations, Happy Tails stories of homeless Katrina pets that found new homes, fantastic stories of reunions between pet and owner, as well as stories of memorial to those loved ones lost.  In addition there will be a look back at the events of the past year to see how far we have come to preventing such a tragedy in the future.
Co-Founder Bill Clanton stated, “After Katrina we learned the unconditional bond between pet and owner is truly unbreakable.”  Unconditional Friends.com will be an on-going and ever growing effort to explore and celebrate that truly unconditional love that only a pet can provide.
This memorial website is scheduled for launch on September 1st 2006, and can be found at http://www.unconditionalfriends.com.  Plus as an effort to help stop pet overpopulation, 50% of all advertising dollars made on this site will be donated to various shelters to help cover spays and neutering costs.

If you or someone you know has a story about the pets of Katrina to tell, visit www.unconditionalfriends.com  or e-mail your story to info@allpetsradio.com .  Feel free to include a photo with your story.
