”We are very excited about finally launching our site," said Nykia Elvy, Co-Owner. "We've been able to do a lot of work in Durham, but this site gives us the opportunity to expand our customer base across the country."

Subject 2 Change has been in operation since 2004. They have worked with many campus organizations, businesses, and other groups to provide unique custom apparel. They also offer a "Campus Originals" line that features many favorite slogans from local schools. Visitors can also send emails to Subject 2 Change to get additional information about the shirts.

"'[The website] serves as a platform for businesses and organizations to see some of the custom work we've already done, and it allows individuals to take part in the Subject 2 Change campaign by purchasing one of our motto tees. " said Nykia Elvia.

About Subject 2 Change

The idea for Subject 2 Change was conceived by three college graduates hoping to start a custom apparel and graphic design company offering original and imaginative style and design options to those with unique apparel needs.

The owners of the new business sought clients in the communities surrounding their alma maters, Duke and North Carolina Central Universities, and found a rich market comprised of campus organizations, alumni associations, athletic leagues and local businesses, all in need of customized wear.

As members of various campus organizations while in college, the founders of the company knew first-hand the gaps in services provided by the roster of custom apparel companies in the area. From slow turnaround times to low quality products, hidden charges and other inefficiencies, the competitive landscape left room for much improvement.

Also, motivated by a desire to make customized products truly fashionable, the primary goal of Subject 2 Change was always to provoke the creativity and imagination of its clients, and in turn, offer one-of-a-kind products and services that would catapult the company above competitors in the local market.
