What: The Melbourne Independent Filmmakers Festival 2007
 When: Friday & Saturday, November 2 & 3, 2007!
Where: Premiere Theaters Oaks Stadium 10 in beautiful Melbourne, Florida
Who: Everyone is welcome.
Why: An event to promote independent filmmaking to our community and to raise money for local charities.
The Melbourne Independent Filmmakers Festival is scheduled for November 2 & 3 at the Premiere Theaters Oaks Stadium 10.
The MIFF begins Saturday November 2nd at 7 pm with the Comedy program which features comedic shorts and the musical "Zombie Prom"! Being this close to Halloween, we will follow the comedies with a spectacular horror program on Fright Night Friday Night at 9:30 pm which will feature a costume contest with prizes and the world premiere of Michael Baumgarten's "Last Call Before Sunset"
Saturday will feature a matinee with Florida Films and International films as well as an opportunity to meet the filmmakers and the celebrities. On Saturday night we have our annual VIP party which includes live music and food and beverages provided by the finest restaurants in Melbourne. There is also the red carpet and all the sights and sounds of a Hollywood premiere featuring the film "Eye of the Dolphin" produced by Melbourne local John Remark. Expected celebrities include Michael Bailey Smith(The Hills Have Eyes 1 & 2, My Name is Earl), Michael Winslow (Police Academy, Ninjas VS. Pirates) and other surprise guests!
