NFL Veterans make double Impact

NFL Veterans make double Impact

By SOP newswire

When they hit the stage, they’ve got eight-inch concrete blocks, baseball bats, 10-foot chains, four-inch-thick phone books, half-inch round hot rolled steel bars, telephone poles, chainsaws and full cans of soda. (Oh, and don’t forget the fire extinguisher.)

They are Team Impact, and they are a muscle-bound group of former NFL players, champion power lifters and professional wrestlers, displaying their physical strength to spread the Gospel of Christ.

With one blow of a massive arm they can shatter five feet of concrete. With two bare hands they’ll snap a baseball bat in half. And with one clear message they’re coming to First Baptist Church Atlanta for five nights this month.

“They’re bringing an action-packed performance, along with an everlasting message that will truly impact everyone who comes,” says Jordan Easley, FBA’s minister to students, of the March 26-30 event. “Their unique delivery appeals to all ages, and there’s a different show each night of the five-night crusade.”

Based in Coppell, Texas, Team Impact visits nearly 1,000 venues each year. Millions have seen them perform live, and they also are featured in a weekly TV show on Trinity Broadcasting Network.

“With all the problems that young people face today, we take seriously the task of reaching America’s youth with a timely message,” a team rep says. “We’ve learned that if you can get people’s attention, they will listen to what you have to say. And we’ve found a way to get people's attention.”

“This isn’t just another church event,” Easley emphasizes. “It’s a community event, and we’re trying to pack the place with people that need impact in their lives! Please commit to not only coming, but to bringing as many people as you can. You don’t want to miss this!”

Team Impact’s presentation, which has no admission charge, will be at 7:00 each night at the church, 4400 N. Peachtree Road, Atlanta.
