(TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA) - Have you ever wanted to be a star? Have you ever wanted your story to be heard by millions? Well, here`s your chance! 5000seconds.com provides you with the chance to take part in the world`s first truly collective film project. People from across the globe are invited to submit their own piece(s) of film (i.e. raw video footage, video vignettes, short films, short documentaries, etc.), photos and even music to be included in this groundbreaking film project.  Select footage will be used create a full-length feature film which will be exactly 5000 seconds (1 hour 23 minutes and 20 seconds) in duration. The final film will be called 5000 Seconds: Our World and it will be a powerful snapshot of the world we live in.

5000 Seconds is intended to be a collection of everything that inspires us in this world. It promises to be the ultimate collage filmexplained Amos Carlen, founder of 5000seconds.com.  If you have an original clip that is a real-life personal story, a short documentary, an opinion piece, a talent showcase or even something comedic, we want to hear from you. We`ll even accept a really cool picture, he added.

Submissions can range from 10 seconds to 15 minutes in length. 5000 Seconds: Our World will be made up of all the selected content and edited in such a way that will ensure the greatest impact on the viewer. Best of all, Hollywood editor Erik C. Andersen (whose credits include Four Rooms, Bring It On, Madonna: Truth or Dare, Desperado, Animal and more) will be editing the selected entries.

In addition to film clips and photos, the site is also encouraging aspiring musicians to share their talents with the world. Music submissions will be accepted for the movie`s soundtrack that already includes Paul Shaffer of Late Show with David Letterman fame and Marcy Playground, artist for the smash single: "Sex and Candy".

Using a film festival approach, the cost for each submission is $10.00 USD with each subsequent entry costing $5.00 USD. Photo submissions are $5.00 each. As with film festivals, if your submission is selected for inclusion in the film, you will have a chance to win cash and other prizes as well as garnering exposure for your piece. Everyone who enters will be listed as a co-producer of the film as well.

The deadline for submissions is November 30th, 2008.

Let`s Make a Movie!

5000 Seconds: Our World will be the world`s first truly collective film project, taking slices of life from people all over the globe and cutting them together to tell a powerful story. People from all over the world will be submitting their movies, photos and music to be put into the final film.

5000 Seconds is a collection of everything that inspires us in this world. This film will be shot and scored by you, and will be a moving snapshot of the world we live in.

Each 5000 Seconds production will be exactly 5000 seconds long (not including intro and credits segments) which works out to exactly 1 hour, 23 minutes and 20 seconds.

The film will be edited by Emmy award winning, Hollywood editor, Erik C. Andersen. Erik`s work includes the T.V. show Las Vegas, Madonna`s Truth or Dare, Bring it On, Speed 2, Broken Arrow, Desperado, Slackers, Four Rooms, Animal and more.

The film`s soundtrack already includes Paul Shaffer (band leader for David Letterman) and Marcy Playground (smash single: "Sex and Candy") with a few more big names to follow.

Using a film festival approach, the cost of each film submission is $10.00 USD.  The cost of each audio submission is $10.00 USD.  The cost of each photograph submission is $5.00 USD.  All subsequent audio and video submissions are 50% off.  The cut-off date for submissions is November 30th, 2008.

Every submission that is included in the film will have an automatic chance to win cash and prizes.  These prizes will be awarded from such companies as Apple, Panasonic, Sony and more.  Cash prizes of up to $5000 USD will also be available.

10% of the profits will go to a charity that you will help to select.

Every submitter will be listed as a co-producer of the film. The chosen submitters will be credited in the film itself.
