Are Santa and God one and the same?

Are Santa and God one and the same?

By Garrett Godwin

Santa Claus makes a list and checks it twice, finding out who is nice or naughty.

God has a list, too.  It is called the List of Life, and that includes people who have accepted Jesus Christ as not only the Son of God, but also Lord and Savior of their lives, receiving eternal life.  If you`re on the List of Life, then that means you`re going Home-- to Heaven.  However, if you`ve rejected God, then you`ve become naughty, meaning you`re on the List of Death: going to Hell.

Like Santa, God knows and sees everything-- and everyone, including us.  He sees us awake and asleep, knowing that we`ve been bad or good.  The difference is, God doesn`t come every Christmas every year.  He`s there for us to give us what we need because He knows what is best for us, for God is good all the time.  He brings love, comfort, solace, guidance, salvation and so on.  Most of all, God provides hope and healing to the broken, weary and lost; saving both lives and souls; bringing light in a world of darkness.

Jesus Christ was born on Earth and grew to be a servant among the people, for He is the foundation of God, for He is God in the flesh.  One day, Jesus will come back; only this time, as King of all Kings, for He is Lord of Heaven and Earth: the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

If we can believe in Santa Claus as children, then why is it difficult for us to believe in God as adults?

The only way to believe in God is to have the same kind of faith that we have in Santa Claus: the humble faith of a child.  In the end, faith is all that matters-- all that we need.
