Gospel Music Channel and National Quartet Convention team up for a new series

By Garrett Godwin

ATLANTA, GA: Gospel Music Channel will be premiering a soon-to-be named new series that will have performances from popular and future artists of Southern Gospel music, said the Christian Newswire today.

"Southern Gospel and quartet music is a distinctly American-bred genre of music and has an important place in Gospel Music Channel`s programming mission" said founder and President Charles Humbard.

This week, the Gospel Music Channel Production crews will be at the National Quartet Convention (NQC) at the Kentucky Fair and Expo Center in Louisville, where shooting of the 50-plus expecting artists during the six-day event of afternoon and evening concerts will take place.  The new series will also have a behind-the-scenes look so viewers can get know the quartet members personally.

"The National Quartet Convention", states executive vice president Clarke Beasley, "appreciates the commitment that Gospel Music Channel has made traditional, harmony oriented Gospel music by producing this original series from NQC.  We are looking forward to the new series being aired on GMC, giving millions of fans and supporters the opportunity to see and hear this great music on a weekly basis."

The new series will debut early next year.
