BibleRhymes is Bringing Christmas Joy to Michigan

By Garrett Godwin

The economy is in a recession, but Christmas will still the season of giving in the state of Michigan.  BibleRhymes (www.biblerhymes.com), a series of children`s books, will be publishing a new version of the Christmas story just in time for the holidays.  "I have ministers from a variety of churches review all of my books before publication" said author Ken McCardell.  "This way I know the stories are Biblically accurate from several perspectives, even when while we`re having fun with the rhymes.  It`s why a number of churches have started using them as tools in Sunday school."

Like the last two, Creation and Noah`s Ark, Christmas Story will have the rhyme scheme and playful art that readers have come to know and love.  BibleRhymes` purpose is making sure that the kids of all ages and walks of life have fun learning about these stories at the same with a light-hearted yet honest approach.  Originally profits from sales are used to get their books out to charities, but BibleRhymes decides a different approach for Christmas 2008, as proceeds for Christmas Story will be used for to buy Christmas gifts for needy families.

"We`ve decided to set aside some of the profits all the way until Christmas so that we can work with Macomb County `Holiday`s Adopt a Family` program", said McCardell, "getting gifts to families here in Michigan.  The joy of giving and receiving is something kids should learn early so that they can embrace the idea of sharing throughout their lives.  This is important part of what Christmas stands for."
