Pope Benedict To Release CD In Homage To Virgin Mary

Pope Benedict To Release CD In Homage To Virgin Mary

By Robert Paul Reyes

"Pope Benedict XVI has signed with a major record label to cut an album of songs and prayers to the Virgin Mary.

Geffen Records, whose artists include Ashlee Simpson and Snoop Dogg, will release "Alma Mater," featuring the pope`s chants and prayers along with eight original classical compositions, on Nov. 30." http://www.usatoday.com/news/religion/2009-07-31-pope-album_N.htm

The CD album is a dead format, and not even the Holy Father can resurrect it.

The Virgin May is almost as irrelevant as a CD album. The pontiff`s record might stand a better chance if he includes a song or two about the Madonna that really matters: The Material Girl!

The pope`s label mate Snoop Doog should help out, by adding a rap beat to one of the pope`s songs.

Let`s be real, the only way we are going to enjoy the pope`s album is if Snoop Dogg shares some of his killer weed with us.
