Drawing Of Jesus Gets Second-Grader Suspended

Drawing Of Jesus Gets Second-Grader Suspended

By Robert Paul Reyes

"A Taunton father is outraged after his 8-year-old son was sent home from school and required to undergo a psychological evaluation after drawing a stick-figure picture of Jesus Christ on the cross.

The father said he got a call earlier this month from Maxham Elementary School informing him that his son, a second-grade student, had created a violent drawing. The image in question depicted a crucified Jesus with Xs covering his eyes to signify that he had died on the cross. The boy wrote his name above the cross." Read More

An 8-year-old kid should be drawing pictures of SpongeBob SquarePants or robots. A child that young who draws a picture of crucifixion is in need of long-term psychological counseling.

A drawing that depicts violence, regardless if it`s an image from a movie or the Bible, has no place in an elementary school. The teacher and the principal had a right to be concerned about the young student.

Unfortunately there`s little hope for the child, his parents are cramming their religious beliefs down his throat.. It`s a vile form of abuse to brainwash a child into accepting your religion.

In a perfect world parents wouldn`t indoctrinate their offspring into following their religion, they would let their children make up their own minds as to what religious or philosophical views to embrace.
