Holy Smoke! Lawyer Smokes Pages Of The Bible And The Koran!

By Robert Paul Reyes

"An Australian lawyer, Alex Stewart, has smoked pages torn from the Koran and the Bible, posting the video on YouTube just days after an American Pastor`s threat to burn the Muslim holy book caused worldwide outrage.

In a 12-minute clip entitled `Bible or Koran - which burns best?` Mr. Stewart, who works for the Queensland University of Technology, holds up the two religious texts before ripping them apart and lighting the rolled up pages.

At one stage he inhales deeply from one of the roll-ups before blowing out the smoke and commenting: `Holy`." Read More

Last week when Terry Jones, the pastor of a church with only 50 members, announced that he planned to burn copies of the Koran, Muslims reacted with violence and outrage.

This is an example that Islam is a religion based not on reason and common sense, but emotions and paranoia.

Any Muslim with a modicum of intelligence should immediately realize that a crackpot preacher with a tiny church doesn`t represent the views of the American public or the American government.

President Obama empowered Christian extremists by practically begging Pastor Jones not to burn copies of the Koran. If you want to attract the attention of the Leader of the Free World, just announce that you plan on burning a Koran and posting the video on the Internet.

Alex Stewart, an atheist, is demonstrating the folly of getting all worked up over the burning of "sacred texts."

If a text is sacred it`s because its words inspire the faithful to acts of kindness and generosity. To make an icon out of a book is sheer lunacy, and such idolatry has no place in the 21st century.

Stewart`s video has been removed from YouTube, don`t waste your time trying to find it.
