Gene Anderson, a native of St. Louis Mo. started singing and dancing at the age of three years old. By the time he was 6 years old he was performing at his mother`s and aunt`s parties and other social gatherings and at these social gatherings is where young Gene caught the attention of visiting celebrities and stars.

Gene ended up in The Army for two years. Between boot camp and drills Gene found a niche and became an entertainment specialist during his enlistment. He cut his first full album singing, "Do You Love Me Baby" and "Baby I Dig You" with Danny Bishop and Sgt. Master William Jones, and toured base camps in The Army`s show mobile with Shirley Davis, Bobby Rydell, and numerous others including Sam Gary and Bill Johnson, a connection that gave him his big break. Then after Gene then went on to perform with giants such as The Temptations, Junior Walker, The Capitols, and at The Apollo Theatre, one of his biggest connections was with Duke Ellington who introduced him to Noble Sisel, and Hubie Blake. Gene went on to work with others such as Willie Mitchell, known for putting out hits on Al Green and Ann Pebbles on High Records as well as writing songs for Stax Records.
