SOP's Battle of the Bands Featuring Terock with 'Can't Let You Go'
Terrance Brock was born in Tampa, FL. where his obsession for music began at the age of twelve. His older brother wrote a verse to a rap for him using Mantronix, Fresh is the Word an Instrumental. By the age of fifteen he was writing and recording demos and sending them to anyone who he thought would listen. Unfortunately, the demos fell on deaf ears.
He kept grinding by staying involved with several projects. By 2000, he finally made a name for himself as a member of the Illsyadas and released the single Trapped in the Game. Later that year, he recorded a song for WCW Wrestler Evan Korageous.
Terock continued putting in work sellings CDs and performing throughout south Florida, but he was still being rejected by major labels!
He decided to start his own label called 8522 Music which is named after his childhood address where he found his love for music at: 8522 Fishlake Road. In 2003 he released his album on the 8522 label entititled Greenridge, the Untold Story which garnered him a national distribution deal with RND Distibution in Houston, TX. As of now he`s putting the finishing touches on his new album, White Kollar Hustlin.
He is in discussion with Southern Music Distribution (The distribution company that launched the careers of Ludacris, Lil Jon, Ying Yang Ywins, and Pastor Troy) to distribute White Kollar Hustlin album Nationally.
The never give up attitude, focus, and hustle is what is going to take Terock and 8522 music to a whole different level.
