BEIJING, Sept. 15-- Iranian sitting volleyball team won over Bosnia and Herzegovina 3-0 and took the gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games on Monday.
Reigning Paralympic champions thrashed the Athenes gold medallist 3-0 (25-22, 25-18, 25-22) here at the CAU Gymnasium .
Russia defeated Egypt 3-2 ahead of the final match and claimed the bronze medal.
Iran had already won four Paralympic golds in 1988 Seoul, 1992 Barcelona, 1996 Atlanta, and 2000 Sydney.
The team was beaten by Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2004 Athens and finished in second place.
The member of the Iran`s sitting volleyball team will receive a cash prize of $1,000 for this championship.
