Judyth Piazza chats with Mark McCrohon, Founder of DocCop.com

By Judyth Piazza CEO (Editor)

From 1998 to 2005, Mark McCrohon developed educational software for a large Australian university. During this time, Mark came to recognize the size of the plagiarism problem among undergraduates, principally collusion across large cohorts of students.

In response, Mark wanted to develop a plagiarism detection tool that provided instant feedback and did not take copyright or ownership of submitted material. In 2006, Mark established Sunnyvale Software and devoted himself to the development of DOC Cop Plagiarism Detection (http://www.doccop.com).
Not only of value to academics, DOC Cop is also useful to journalists, writers, editors and publishers as it scans large documents such as manuscripts and books against one another very quickly.
