'Biomass 2008: Fueling Our Future'
Washington, DC – On Friday, April 18, 2008, U.S. Secretary of Energy Samuel W. Bodman will deliver keynote remarks at DOE's "Biomass 2008: Fueling Our Future" conference in Alexandria, Virginia.*
Following President Bush's remarks this week on combating climate change, Secretary Bodman is expected to highlight the Administration's efforts to increase the use of clean, affordable and reliable non-food based biofuels and other clean energy sources to meet our nation's growing demand for energy while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
"Biomass 2008: Fueling Our Future" is a two-day event that draws technical, business and policy experts to discuss how biofuels can help increase energy security as well as the technology, market and policy advances needed to realize their potential.
