John McCain And Barack Obama Computer Networks Hacked
"Newsweek is reporting that computer networks of both the Obama and McCain campaigns were the targets of a sophisticated cyberattack in the run-up to the general election and, in the Obama case, `a serious amount of files` were downloaded" from the system.
Oddly, Newsweek reports that officials at the FBI and White House told the Obama camp that the culprit was a `foreign entity` likely seeking information on the two sides` policy positions to use in negotiations with the next administration, and that the Obama system had not been hacked by its political opponents."
This incident illustrates the urgent necessity of protecting private and government computer systems from attack by foreign governments or terrorists organizations. The next 9/11 may not be a dirty bomb, but a cyber attack that will bring about the collapse of our economy.
In the old days we would have automatically blamed the Russians, but the Bush administration has turned the whole world against us and there are many suspects.
Some experts speculate that the Mossad may be the "foreign entity" that was seeking info about the candidates ` policy positions, but I doubt that the most efficient intelligence organization in the world would waste time and resources hacking into McCain`s computer network. Certainly the Mossad was well aware that McCain didn`t have a snowball`s chance in hell of winning the general election.
If Sarah Palin`s computer network is hacked, the perpetrator probably won`t be a foreign entity but a horny teen computer geek.
