In Everything Give Thanks!
When you were in the womb preparing to make your entrance into the world, many anticipated your arrival and showered your mother with gifts of congratulations. After your birth, announcements and pictures were mailed. Long-distance calls were made from coast to coast, telling people the gift of You had finally arrived. Family and friends came from near and far to see, hold and kiss this incredible gift of life.
Why all the hoopla about You? First of all, you were, and still are, a one-of-a-kind, priceless diamond of unlimited potential wrapped in flesh. No one else on Earth has your fingerprints, your smile, your signature – or your brilliance. Your uniqueness is your human signature. Hundreds, thousands, perhaps millions of people need your giftedness. You were born to release your brilliance and leave a mark on the Universe. You are supposed to be here!
Everything you need to be brilliant is already inside you. You have incredible gifts, and once you exercise these gifts, you’ll evolve from merely existing to fully living. When you rediscover your brilliance and release it from the vault, you’ll begin to realize why you’re here on Earth, and understand how to create your future from the inside out.
A good friend recently told me that he feels stuck professionally and personally, but that he doesn’t know how to get out of his rut. He’s read the books and attended the success seminars. He’s watched others ascend the ladder of success. But when he’s tried to do the same, it’s seemed as if he couldn’t reach the rungs. He has spent thousands of dollars on personal development, but he hasn’t internalized it and applied it to his life. As he gets older – he’s in his 40s – he feels that he’s running out of time.
Do you know anyone like that? People who are unhappy, unfulfilled and unsettled, yet don’t know what to do? They sit idly by, admiring everyone else, but have never done the work to find the essence of their brilliance. Or if they have, they play it safe and talk themselves out of going after what’s most alive in their hearts.
To me, people are like fine wines – they only get better with time. I truly believe it’s never too late to find and release your brilliance. If Colonel Sanders could start Kentucky Fried Chicken when he was in his 60s, what can you do? If Ronald Reagan could become President of the United States at 69, what can you do?
Brilliance is inside each and every one of us! Brilliance is not just for pretty people or smart people or rich people. Brilliance is available to anyone and everyone who seeks it. That includes YOU!
Simon Says…Don’t keep your brilliance hidden. Unlock the vault of your potential and bring your genius out in the open for everyone to see!
