SOP writer: From beginning to end, 'Supernatural' TV show a 'rollercoaster ride'

By Garrett Godwin

The X-Files have dealt with investigations of the unknown and the supernatural.  Route 66 follows the main characters on the road traveling across America.  Mixed them together with WB alums Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, you have Supernatural, one of those shows that you just can't enough of.

The series follows Sam (Padalecki) and Dean (Ackles), two brothers going from town to town as they search for John (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), their missing father and the demon that killed their mother Mary over 20 years ago and Sam's girlfriend Jessica.  But along the way, the brothers continues "the family business"-- battling evil and save lives.

All season, Supernatural has been an rollercoaster ride from beginning to end.  There was the Hook Man, Bloody Mary, and cannibalism-- just to name a few.  But what makes this series is the relationship between the two brothers.  Sam and Dean are so different in personality and always in conflict, especially when it comes to their troubled past and their family.  But these brothers have always got each other's backs, and love for each other.

Supernatural continues to have standalone episodes, while still holding on to the Winchester's main mission: finding the demon that killed their mother and Jessica.

The season finale continued to give us excitement as the family finally comes face-to-face with that demon.  But, as we know, nothing is ever over.  The last few minutes kept us hanging on a cliff's edge.  So who will survive?  Well, we're going to have wait until the fall, as Supernatural has been picked up for season two, on the new CW Network.

Here's more good news: season one will be out on DVD this September, featuring all 22 episodes and lots of extras.

With the Man of Steel and the Winchester family continuing their fight against evil on Thursday nights, we will be safe.
