Blade comes to Spike

Blade comes to Spike

By Garrett Godwin

Half-vampire

Half-human

All warrior

The Daywalker is back-- only this time it is on the small screen, as Blade comes to Spike Network this Wednesday night at 10pm with its two-hour series premiere.

From 1998 to 2004, Wesley Snipes portrayed the title character on the big screen, a relentless vampire slayer who was born a half-breed after his mother was bitten by a vampire while pregnant with him.  With all the strengths of a vampire but none of its weaknesses, Blade launches an all-out war against the forces of darkness that preys on humans.

Now, Kirk "Sticky" Jones has taken over the role in Spike's first original show, as this time Blade continues his fight against evil in the Motor City known as Detroit.

If you're not interested in Law & Order and CSI:NY and you are looking for something that has a bite Wednesday night this summer, then check out "Blade: The Series" on Spike Network, starting this Wednesday.

The power of an immortal

The soul of a human

The heart of a hero
