Prison Break 2: The Manhunt

Prison Break 2: The Manhunt

By Garrett Godwin

Last season, it was The Great Escape. Now, it is The Fugitive.

Michael Scofield, his older brother Lincoln, and the rest of their PI crew from Fox River are back and on the run in the thrilling second season of Prison Break.

Rising sensation Wentworth Miller is Scofield, who got himself arrested and sent to prison to save his brother (Dominic Purcell) Lincoln, who was on death row for a crime he did not commit-- the murder of the President's brother, who we discovered that is very much alive.  Together with schematics of his tattoo, Scofield uses all of his resources and some of the most dangerous inmates-- including the notorious T-Bag -- to break him and Lincoln out of Fox River.  After a season of waiting, the wait was over last spring when the escape began.

Now comes the chase.

William Fichtner, fresh of the short-lived cult fave Invasion, is the series' Samuel Gerald: FBI Agent Alexander Mahone, heading up the manhunt for the escapees, who's got a dark secret.

This season finds our protagonists staying one step ahead of the law while most of them are trying to get back what was lost to them such as their families and loved ones.  But it also finds them on the path to the $5 million that is stashed somewhere in Utah.

You might have thought that Prison Break jumped the shark when they escaped from Fox River, but we wanted it to happen and it did.  So far, this season has received good ratings and has even surprised us.  For instance, the death of Linc's true legal eagle love, Veronica (Robin Tunney) in the opener.  We wanted her and Linc to be together as much as we want Michael and Dr. Sara Tancredi (Sarah Wayne Callies) together as well.

Last week was good, with everyone reunited digging for the treasure.  However, the heat is finally on them.  So, tomorrow night will leave us with one question: who will live and who will die?

The chase continues with Prison Break every Monday night at 8pm on FOX.
