7th Heaven Comes into the Light of Syndication this May

By Garrett Godwin

After eleven years of bliss, marriages, children and grandchildren, 7th Heaven comes down from above (again) and into eternal syndication. Debuted on the then WB in 1996, the series follows Reverend Eric Camden (Stephen Collins) and his wife Annie (Catherine Hicks)... the ever long-suffering parents striving to raise their children with a little bit of love, guidance, and faith in God.

Though criticized for being too morally preachy when dealing with issues such as sex, drugs, and relationships, TV Guide called 7th Heaven as "The Best Show You're Not Watching" in 1999, slowly but surely becoming the flagship show for the WB Network.

The series was originally to end last May, but by the grace of high ratings, the new CW Network gave 7th Heaven an 11th-hour reprieve for an 11th season, making it the longest-running family drama in television history, second to Little House on the Prairie with nine years.

Watch as 7th Heaven goes into syndication heaven -- for good -- with the series finale this May.
