A Supernatural war begins on CW
The fight for humanity`s survival starts with Heroes, then Smallville, and now it is happening on Supernatural.
The series wraps its sophomore year tonight with the two-part finale, "All Hell Breaks Loose", in which Sam (Jared Padalecki) is abducted by the Yellow-Eyed Demon, who wants our tragic hero and the other psychic children as soldiers in the war against the human race.
But it leaves not one, but two questions: Can Dean (Jensen Ackles) save his little brother from going Dark Side, or will he have no choice but to kill Sammy?
Though in a tough time slot against CSI and Grey`s Anatomy, Supernatural maintains a strong fan following. Leaves us to another question: will the series come back for next season?
The finale finds the Winchester brothers receiving unexpected help in the form of a familiar face at the start of this dark time in their lives.
"In the world of Supernatural", states creator and executive producer Eric Kripke, "you`re not going to have a happy ending. The war is not going to be over, but we might win this battle or we might lose this battle. It will be a satisfying conclusion to season two, but yet be a nice platform for season three."
Watch as the battle lines are drawn with Supernatural tonight at 9pm on the CW Network.
