The Best of Soul Train: September 16

The Best of Soul Train: September 16

By Garrett Godwin

Soul Train -- Television`s longest, nationally syndicated music program is also the hippest place to be, with guest stars on this day of September 16:

1978 - Earth, Wind & Fire in concert footage with "Jupiter", "Sunshine", "Fantasy", and one of their big hits "Serpentine Fire", and Heaven & Earth with "Guess Who`s Back In Town" and "No Limit".

2000 - LV asking the question, "How Long"; So Plush performing "Things I`ve Heard Before" and "Damn (Should`ve Treated U Right)", and Big Tymers telling everyone to "Get Your Roll On" and "I Got That Work".

And let`s not forget the Soul Train Dancers -- with hosts Don Cornelius and Shemar Moore, bringing us another ride on the Train.

But if you miss the Train the first time, then you have another chance to catch The Best of Soul Train every weekend, so check your local listings.

And you can bet your last dollar, it was -- and still is -- all a stone gas, honey.  This is Garrett Godwin, and like my men Don and Shemar, we wish you and everyone else love, peace, and ..... SOUL!
