(Sebastian, FL) – Shortly before midnight on January 11, 2006, Janie Saviano found a foot inside a boot at the west entrance of the Ft. Pierce Jetty while he was fishing.  According the police report, Saviano retrieved the boot from in between some rocks when he thought he noticed bait inside.  When he opened the boot and pulled out a white cloth, which appeared to be a sock, he noticed that some skin had peeled away from a foot.  He then borrowed another angler’s cell phone and immediately called 911.

Sgt. Tedder arrived and the crime scene and notified CSI and the on call detective.  CSI Garrason and Detective Simmons responded to the scene.  They collected the boot and foot and waited until Tri-County arrived to take possession.

According to Audria Moore, Public Information Officer, their Crime Scene technician will see if he can get a picture of the boot and send it out.
“I am still waiting to speak with the detective to get further information and when I do I will send out a news release with the information,” said Audria Moore.
