By SOP newswire

The Ft. Pierce Police Department responded to the 3400 Block of South Indian River Drive in reference to two White Males breaking mailboxes and throwing mail as they walked Southbound on Indian River Dr. The description was giving by 911 dispatcher as two tall thin white males; one was not wearing a shirt but was carrying it and waving it at passing cars.

As Officer Pate drove Southbound on Indian River Drive he began to observe mail strewn all over the roadway. He also began to see Mailboxes pulled from the ground and knocked over.

He made contact with the two defendants later identified as Jacob Hall and Kevin Fick in the 3400 both matching the description given by dispatch, Fick not wearing his shirt. Both were taken into custody.

Officer Pate then made contact with Robert Starick, an eye witness who made the original call to 911. He made positive identification of both defendants as the males he observed destroying the mailboxes.

CSI Garrison and Officer Pate were contacted to process the area and a final count of 44 destroyed mailboxes at an estimated $50.00 dollars each was reached for an estimated total damage of $2200.00 dollars. At the time of this report Officer Pate was completing a list of victims. Detective Campbell was contacted and interviewed the defendants before they were transported to the County jail without incident.
