Saddam's Family Reburied Near His Grave

By Krista Belles

Saddam Hussein's sons, Odai, 39, and Qusai, 37, along with his 14 year old grandson, Mustafa were exhumed Tuesday and moved to be near Hussein's grave in his hometown north of Baghdad.

The three were killed July 22, 2003 in a gun battle in the northern city of Mosul and were originally buried in the main tribal ceremony in Tikrit. Sunni leaders of Hussein's tribe decided to move their remains to the courtyard of the ornate building in which Hussein was laid to rest after his was hanged.

According to MSNBC.com, Thaer Ismael of Saddam's tribe said, "We wanted to put the bodies of Saddam's family in one place."
