By Askin Ozcan (Mentor)

Her Majesty The Queen of England and The Duke of Edinburgh will start their four day official trip to Turkey. First city on the list is Ankara. During the dinner at the Presidential Palace, a 91 piece children's orchestra will also play, at the special request of Her Majesty The Queen. Turkey, Britain, Mexico and China are the only four countries in the world with a large children's orchestra, Turkey having the largest one, where children come from the various Cities of Turkey.
Bursa is the next stop. This City being the first capital of the Ottoman Empire in 1300. Now, it is an important center for automotive and textile industries and has also a historic mosque. In the third day of their visit, Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh will give a reception at the British Aircraft carrier which will be in The Bosphorous in Istanbul. The fourth day will be spent in Ankara again, where Her Majesty will give another reception at the British Embassy.

Her Majesty supports fully the entrance of Turkey into the EU and is convinced that Turkey will be a valuable asset to EU. On the other hand, the percentage of Turks who are against Turkey's entrance into the EU are increasing, fearing the national freedom and independence will be placed in the hands of the EU Parliament.
