Somali MP Missing from Hotel Room in Mogadishu
A Somali parliament member Saleh Nuh Ismail has dismissed from his hotel room in Mogadishu on Thursday, lawmaker Mohamed Hussein Nur confirmed.
The disappeared parliament member Saleh Nuh Ismail popularly known as Badbaado was last seen at his Hotel Wehliye room before midday on Thursday and his whereabouts are yet unclear according to Mohamed Hussein Nur.
There are conflicting reports about the MP`s real plight are emerging with some reports saying that he defected to Islamist rebels, while other reports indicate that he may have been abducted from his hotel Wehliye room which is located in the government controlled area south of the capital.
The disappeared MP has been giving opposite interviews against Somali government accusing it of doing nothing to pacify the lawless country which ahs lacked a functioning central government for the past two decades.
However, it is unclear whether the MP was abducted or he defected to Islamist rebels.
Since January last year four Somali government ministers, three parliamentarians and two high-ranking police and military officials have been killed in suicide explosions and targeted assassinations.
