Kashmir Panthers Urge Prime Minister to Impose Governor Rule

Kashmir Panthers Urge Prime Minister to Impose Governor Rule

By SOP newswire2

An Emergency Meeting of Kashmir Council of JKNPP was held under the Chairmanship of Syed Rafiq Shah, MLC and President of Young Panthers to review the situation which has developed in Kashmir Valley following the utter failure of the coalition government and failure of the Central leadership to sense the sensitivity of the situation. Kashmir Valley has been on the boil for several months due to the inefficient, corrupt and non-functioning coalition government headed by an inexperienced and computer-game-loving Chief Minister.

The meeting was attended by the District Presidents of Kashmir Valley. Among others Vice President Mr. Masood Indrabi, Provincial President Kashmir Mr. Farooq Ahmed Dar, State Secretaries namely Mr. Maqbool Malik, Mr. Mushtaq Ahmed Mir, Provincial General Secretaries namely Dr. Iqbal Wani and Mr. Manjoor Ahmed Naik, Public Relations Officer-cum-State Secretary Mr. Mehboob Illahi.

The Kashmir Council in a resolution urged Prime Minister and J&K Governor, Mr. N.N. Vohra to impose Governor Rule to save the innocent citizens from further deaths and destruction. The government has already admitted that they and their administration are no longer in a position to control the situation which is evident from the fact that army has been caught by the Chief Minister.

In case the Centre is not interested, for reasons, to impose Governor Rule for six months, the Kashmir Council of Panthers Party would like to urge the Prime Minister to invite Prof. Bhim Singh as the Chief Minister for a short-spell, may be six months, to fill the gap between the people and administration caused by the present government. We are proposing Prof. Bhim Singh for this most challenging responsibility only because he is the only person at the moment who is acceptable to all the sections of the citizens, Ladakhies, Kashmiries and Jammuites. Mrs. Indira Gandhi had nominated Sheikh Mohd. Abdullah in 1975 to head the coalition government at a time when he was not a member of any House. A situation has arisen and it can go worst if the emotions of the people particularly Kashmiries are not addressed genuinely and timely. Prof. Bhim Singh is the only person not only acceptable to the Kashmiries, Dogras and Ladakhies but also highly respected and loved by the people of Kashmir at this time.

Syed Rafiq Shah, MLC arrived in Jammu in the early hours of this morning to convey these feelings of Kashmir Panthers Party Unit at a press conference in Jammu. Mr. Farooq Ahmed Dar has been authorized to convey these feelings to Delhi from Srinagar. Because of the curfew imposed in Srinagar it was not possible to address press there.
