Intervention to Save "Kashmir` from Total Disaster

By SOP newswire2

Prof. Bhim Singh, Chairman, JKNPP and Member, National Integration Council (NIC) urged Prime Minister for his immediate attention to intervene to save the Kashmir Valley from total anarchy which has threatened the life and property of the civilians as well as that of the government as has been witnessed today on the great holy day of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Prof. Bhim Singh conveyed to the Prime Minister that Railway Headquarters and Crime Branch Office in Lal Chowk Srinagar have been reduced to ashes by an uncontrollable mob hostile to J&K government. Several government offices have been burnt, several innocent people including policemen have been injured or manhandled by public for the reason that there is an anger and fury against the State government.

Prof. Bhim Singh said that the Governor of J&K should be given a freehand to deal with the situation to save further demonstration of the government property and innocent lives in the way the Governor finds fit to act. The Panthers Party Chief said that situation in Kashmir is certainly out of the control of the inexperienced Chief Minister.

The Panthers Party Chief also demanded a high power judicial probe into the circumstances that led to arson, loot, plunder and loss of private and government properties worth crores and that too on the day of Eid-ul-Fitr which people wanted to celebrate in peace and harmony. He said that the Governor should act without any delay, impose Governor Rule and take over the administration so that people return to their homes from the streets and the roads.
