The Spice of Life: Flaming Fire
My fellow lovers of all things hot and spicy, I come to you with words of warning. Sadly, there`s a very disturbing trend going on right now within the world of Hot Sauce, Salsa and Barbecue Sauce and it seems to have an increasing number of true aficionados and connoisseurs of the these two universes just a little bit frustrated and bewildered.
More and more often, we are seeing a serious split taking place between those individuals who sincerely love and enjoy GOOD gourmet hot sauce, salsa and barbecue sauce for the collective taste of premium quality ingredients consummately prepared with just the right amount of heat and those who seek merely what is extremely, excruciatingly HOT, in what appears to be a free-falling frenzy, focusing fundamentally on flaming fire and FLAMING FIRE alone!
Personally, I totally understand and completely respect the fact that some like it HOT, after all, I`m one of those people, but recently there has been a ridiculously extreme and obsessive attitude taking place over at several of the online and offline barbecue sauce, salsa and hot sauce clubs, that has the vast majority of gourmets just a little bit confused and concerned.
Some clubs that once conscientiously catered to the discriminating palates of the true gourmet, have seemingly, suddenly switched alliance and are now pushing product that, well, suffice it o say, shows a willingness to simply change their quality assurance standards in order to make their claim to fame ? an almost adversarial atomic adventure ? of burning buds, taste buds that is.
We only bring this matter up and take the time to openly discuss it, because we want to absolutely assure our members that we would never even momentarily consider the idea of sacrificing our commitment to premium quality ingredients and taste for the childish silliness of being known as the club that will melt your mouth, thwart your throat scorch you stomach and nuke your nether regions!
