Easy, Teasy Recipezy: We All Love Chocolate Covered Bacon!
There are two ridiculously misguided "gender based" assumptions running amuck throughout our culture these days. Personally I think that Valentine`s Day is the perfect time to set the record straight and allow everyone to get back on track and enjoying the good things in life together.
Misguided assumption #1: Something genetically distinct in women causes them to absolutely love and need to have chocolate!
Misguided assumption #2: Something genetically distinct in men causes them to absolutely love and need to have bacon!
Truth #1: Almost every woman I personally know loves to eat bacon and while they may not usually eat as much of it as the average guy, they certainly appear to enjoy it just as much, if not MORE than the guys!
Truth #2: Almost every guy I personally know loves to eat chocolate and while they may not usually eat as much of it as the average woman, they certainly appear to enjoy it just as much, if not MORE than the ladies!
So, in honor of Valentine`s Day, when we try to come up with all sorts of clever ways to help guys successfully hook up with gals, Bacon Freak offers you this amazing recipe for Chocolate Covered Bacon.
Not only will this successfully bring bacon together with chocolate, but in the name of love, it will successfully bring women and men together in a sensuously sticky, sweet and salty surrender to one another`s tantalized and tempted taste buds!
8 slices thick cut, best-quality bacon 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips 4 ounces white chocolate
Preheat the oven to 375Â°F.
Place your strips of gourmet bacon on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
Bake in the oven, until the bacon is cooked to your preferred crispiness. (This would be approximately 8 minutes per side for soft bacon and 10 minutes per side for crispy bacon.)
Allow the bacon cool on the aluminum foil for 5 minutes then carefully place the bacon on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb the excess grease.
Set up a double boiler and heat a large saucepan filled with water over a high flame until the water is boiling. Reduce heat to a simmer.
Set a heat-proof bowl over the simmering water.
Pour the chocolate chips into the bowl and stir with a fork until smooth and completely melted.
Cover another baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Using tongs, carefully dip the bacon into the melted chocolate turning it gently to
Completely coat both sides in chocolate.
Place the chocolate covered bacon on the clean sheet of aluminum foil.
Repeat with all of the remaining slices of bacon.
Now melt your white chocolate in the same way in a clean bowl.
Drizzle your own choice of design over the top of the chocolate covered bacon with the melted white chocolate.
Refrigerate until the chocolate is hard.
Once cool, enjoy!
