Judyth Piazza chats with Graham and Treena Kerr, Recipe for Life
Have you ever done something really well . . . but in the wrong place or the wrong time? We did!
In 1994 Treena and I began a six year television production called Graham Kerr`s Gathering Place, " it went to air on television in 2000 mostly in Canada.
Before its time . . . possibly?
In the wrong place . . . unfortunately; using hindsight . . . maybe?
We called it Gathering Place " because we believe that the family dining table is the last remaining tribal " gathering place we have.
We wanted a discussion over dinner, one based on caring for one another and wanting to do no harm.
We found experts, largely from the major hospitals and medical institutions, to be our guests. I cooked for them dishes I designed to match their discipline or specialty (lower saturated fats for heart disease, etc.)
Together we blended science and the senses because if we want a lifestyle change to last it must taste wonderful and be enjoyed by everyone at the table.
We invited a small (enough to handle) audience to ask questions and the result was one hour long program.
Too long for television? . . . Perhaps . . .
However . . . are the most important issues of life learned sound bite by sound bite . . . or in a more measured pleasantly relaxed environment . . . like a meal with family . . . at our very own gathering place?
We have now found the right time and the right place for our six year, one hundred and thirty episode series. It fits comfortably in a DVD series called, Treena and Graham Kerr`s Lifestyle #9.
If you are looking for attractive ways (that make sense) to improve your health and the way you look at the life you have . . . we are certain that our guests are given enough time to explain some simple steps you may find you can easily take.
Lifestyle #9 DVD set is for sale for $99 or $19.99 for the DVD`s individually. To order please click on the Book Store (to the left)...
This really is the right time and the right place for something we did really well.
