The CIA Needs Local Couriers

Logistics Support offers the unique opportunity to work with an accomplished and diverse team of couriers to transport material to various locations throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The work includes processing document/materials for distribution, delivery of material, obtaining signatures of recipients, the use of scanners to record the package tracking information, and use of GPS tracking system. Lifting and maneuvering large or heavy packages may be required. A career as a courier requires a commitment to meet the diverse needs of a demanding customer base, flexibility, and the ability to be a self-starter. Day-to-day life will reflect the skills you have, and will continue to build as you perform both transactional and physical hands-on-work. Your career in this position will begin with a five- year contract.

Minimum requirements:  includes a high school diploma or GED or five years relevant work experience in the military or private sector. An emphasis on material handling and transport is desired. Must qualify for and possess a valid driver’s license. Also, must provide and maintain a good driving record and have the ability to lift material up to 50lbs. A demonstrated record of flexibility; excellent job performance; proven time management and organizational skills are a requirement for this field. 

All applicants must successfully complete a thorough medical and psychological exam, a polygraph exam, a polygraph interview and an extensive background investigation. US citizenship is required.

To be considered suitable for Agency employment, applicants must generally not have used illegal drugs within the last twelve months. The issue of illegal drug use prior to twelve months ago is carefully evaluated during the medical and security processing.
