Kwame Pleads Gulity and Resigns as Mayor

By Garrett Godwin

DETROIT, MI: Today could have mark day two of Governor Jennifer Granholm`s removal hearing against Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick.

However, it looks like that the hearing could be coming to an end, as Kwame decides to plead guilty to two counts of obstruction of justice by committing perjury.

He accepts the deal that was offered yesterday that includes paying one million dollars in restitution, spending 120 days in jail, five years` probation -- during which at that time, he would not run for office -- and as well as surrendering his law license.

Sentencing will be held on October 28 at 2pm.

More coming soon ....
