Boomer: The World's Tallest Dog

By Robert Paul Reyes

('DiggThis')

"Boomer, a 180-pound Landseer Newfoundland dog, can drink water from the kitchen sink.

He could probably push you out of the bed -- or takeover the bed!

Caryn Weber of Casselton, N.D. , says her dog measures seven feet from nose to tail, stands 36 inches tall at the shoulders, and weighs 180 pounds." Read More

This humongous canine can drink water from the kitchen sink without having to stand on his hind legs. As big as Boomer is he can probably do anything else he wants.

I have a German Shepherd/Pit Bull who weighs 65 pounds, and when folks see us around the neighborhood they often comment that she`s taking me for a walk. I would be afraid to take a seven feet tall dog for a walk.

Even though Boomer is as colossal as Bigfoot, the pooch doesn`t look intimidating. USA Today had a photograph of the dog and it looks as loveable and harmless as a kitty cat.

Boomer is a remarkable creature, and I hope he makes it into the Guinness Book of World Records as the world`s biggest dog.
