BAGHDAD — Soldiers from Company D, 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, responded to an explosion in the western neighborhood of Washash Sept. 16.  The blast killed two Iraqi citizens and wounded four others.

Eyewitnesses to the attack claimed to have seen a man park the car and walk away just minutes before the explosion occurred.  The size of the blast left the surrounding buildings in ruins and damaged 11 vehicles in the vicinity.

U.S. Forces were first on the scene but handed the investigation over to the local Iraqi Police force.  No suspects have been found.
