Government Conference on Openness, Transparency Closed To The Public and Press

On March 26, the Office of Information Policy (OIP), of the U.S. Department of Justice, will host a government-wide training conference to discuss President Obama`s and Attorney General Holder`s memoranda which establish a new era of open government.

The conference will be held in the auditorium at the Department of Commerce in Washington, D.C.

But in another example of government double-speak, attendees must present a government ID card for admittance. The conference is closed to the media and members of the public.
