Huckabee Camp says, 'Not so fast.'

Huckabee Camp says, 'Not so fast.'

By SOP newswire

Yesterday Mike Huckabee became the main street conservative to lead the GOP to victory on a foundation of true Republican principles.  Yet media pundits still don't get it and are determined to pick our nominee for us. TOMORROW IN KS, LA AND WA; AND ON TUESDAY IN DC, MD AND VA VOTE FOR MIKE HUCKABEE.

Three weeks ago Governor Huckabee received Congressman Duncan Hunter's endorsement as the "most strongly committed to strengthening national defense, constructing the border fence and meeting the challenge of China's emergence as a military superpower that is taking large portions of America's industrial base."  Mike Huckabee recognizes that a strong economy, with a robust expandable middle class, is the foundational component of economic power on which our national security strategy must rest. During three hours of meetings with Duncan on January 26, Mike Huckabee repeatedly emphasized his commitment to protecting Americans against transnational Islamo-fascist terrorists by securing our borders; and to protect America’s working middle class and small businesses.  The Governor recognized that enforcing our immigration laws is imperative for preserving America's heritage and culture which are based on the rule of law.  He also affirmed his commitment to the constitutional safeguards of separation of powers and our Bill of Rights.

Congressman Hunter didn't endorse Governor Romney because the later failed to intervene with his former company Bain Capital to drop its pending strategic partnership with Chinese defense contractor Huawei Technologies in a bid to buy U.S. defense contractor 3Com.  More significantly, Duncan refused to endorse his fellow Vietnam Veteran and long-time Senate Armed Services Committee counterpart John McCain.  The Senator's two unsuccessful attempts to grant unconditional amnesty to illegal aliens were stealth assaults on America's middle class and would have caused irreparable damage to America’s heritage, economy and national security. His past championship of so called "campaign finance reform" and gun control measures were attacks on the First and Second Amendment. McCain’s support of NAFTA and CAFCA, and failure to support secure borders demonstrated callous insensitivity to our continued sovereignty as a nation.
