Free Range Studio, Rebus Works and the Brussels Chamber Orchestra

Free Range Studio, Rebus Works and the Brussels Chamber Orchestra

By SOP newswire

Forget this First Friday.  Free Range Studio will be closed.  I haven`t gone fishing, have just decided to shift gears a little for the moment.

Instead, mark your calendar for Friday the 13th.  That`s when the Free Range Studio and Rebus Works will join forces at Rebus Works/301-2 Kinsey Street/Raleigh for an Art Auction to benefit the Brussels Chamber Orchestra and the Raleigh Community Music School.  The live auction is $10 for drinks and international hors d`oeuvres, $50 if you want to participate in an artswap before the auction.  Some of the area`s top artists have contributed works for this auction.  It`s one art event you won`t want to miss.

Besides, it`s for a great cause: think great music and great music education for Raleigh.

The Free Range Studio will also be closed for July 4th.

Instead, mark your calendar for July 5th when the Brussels Chamber Orchestra will be playing a concert at AJ Fletcher at 8 pm.  This will be the first time this fine orchestra has played in the United States.

More importantly, this first concert will lay the foundation for the BCO to create a world-class music festival in the area next summer.  Go to the BCO website, www.brusselschamberorchestra.com to see what they`re all about.

Again:  June 13th Art Auction at Rebus Works from 7-9pm
Call 821-3478 for reservations.  Tickets $10 and $50.

July 5th Brussels Chamber Orchestra at AJ Fletcher Auditorium at 8 pm.
Call 821-3478 for reservations.  Tickets $15.

The Free Range Studio will reopen for First Friday on August 1st with a gallery full of new work.
