Bob Calvert, host of the Talking with Heroes Program recently returned from his tour of Iraq. While there, he taped his Talk Show, Talking with Heroes at KAFA Radio Station located at the Air Force Academy on December 28, 2006. This special edition of Talking with Heroes will air via the Internet Jan 7, 2007 and can be enjoyed by one and all b visiting www.talkingwithheroes.com .
For those listeners who have been asking the question, "When will we hear about the good deeds and selfless acts performed on a daily basis by our fine service men and women who willingly put their lives on the line everyday", the answer is - NOW.
People are raving about the interviews Bob conducted with Army National Guard Soldiers, Marines as well as the Iraqi people. As the program airs on Jan 7th, Calvert and company, once again will be back in Iraq for a second tour of duty. Calvert will be covering topics such as reconstruction progress and the training of the Iraqi forces.
The Iraq Talk Shows recorded on location in October 2006, began airing throughout the month of December and will continue to air into January '07 on Altitude Sports and Entertainment (Altitude.TV), a Regional Cable/Satellite TV Network based in Denver. These programs have been airing in over 180 cities (including Colorado Springs on Comcast Channel 54) in ten states. Mike Herman and Major General Robert Mixon discussed Citizens Soldier Connection, a Colorado Springs based organization, which was organized to help our troops and their families.
Col (Ret) Brock Strom with The Home Front Cares organization discussed how they have been helping military personnel and their families in the spring’s area.
Joe Tanner, with the VFW and Keith LaMee with the American Legion talked about programs that are available to help our troops and their families locally in the Springs area.
Talking with Heroes Internet Radio Program will air on Jan. 7, 2006 at 6pm MST and will also air on KAFA after the first of the New Year to be announced by KAFA.
