Tech-Rewind: Rest In Peace Floppy Discs

By Tim Martin

Tech-Rewind Episode 4: Rest In Peace Floppy Discs

Today I discuss the end of an era:  The 3.5 inch floppy disc`s end is near, the date is set to lay this technology to rest.

I also talk about Blippy`s plan to improve security after 4 credit card numbers showed up on Google in a search.  You can hear more about the original story in Tech-Rewind Episode 2 if you missed it.    Their plan though seems like policies and procedures that  they should have already had in place.

Rhapsody has updated their iPhone app to version 2.0 which gives subscribers the ability to access music and playlists offline, but is it really worth it?

McAfee has announced that they will compensate home customers that were affected by the faulty virus update that caused tens of thousands of computers to continously reboot, but what about companies and corporations that were affected?
