Judyth Piazza chats with David Murrow, Director Church for Men

By Judyth Piazza CEO (Editor)

Want to start a successful men`s ministry in your church? You`ve come to the WRONG place. Our mission is NOT helping churches start a men`s ministry. There are plenty of fine organizations that do that (visit our links page for some of the best.)

At Church for Men, we help churches create an environment where men can thrive in every aspect of church life. Instead of creating a little outpost of masculinity called men`s ministry, we help churches unleash the masculine spirit throughout the organization.

Here`s the traditional approach (men`s ministry) vs. the Church for Men approach:

The first model represents the traditional approach " we try to create something that will involve men in church. We call it Men`s Ministry. But it doesn`t fit very well with the rest of the church, so we get out the krazy glue and attach it tenuously to the feminine church body. Then we tell men, Look boys, we`ve created a men`s ministry for you. Go be masculine in there. But when you come to church on Sunday, check your manhood at the door.

No wonder men are confused and hesitant in our churches.

This model also guarantees that men who visit your church will leave disappointed. You can have a well run, fruit producing men`s ministry, but 90% of your male visitors still come through the Sunday morning worship service. If these visiting men don`t sense that church is something for them, they will not be back.

Church for Men`s approach is different. We show men and women how to integrate a healthy, life-giving masculine spirit throughout their churches and their personal ministries. We`ll show you how to weave adventure, challenge, boldness, competition, hands-on communication, ferocity and fun into your walk with God " and how to bring those things to church life. Once men see their values lived out in every area of Christian endeavor, their comfort level will increase. And you`ll see more of them in church.
