Tiger Woods Vs Wilt (The Stilt) Chamberlain

Tiger Woods Vs Wilt (The Stilt) Chamberlain

By Robert Paul Reyes

Tiger Wood`s fender bender on Thanksgiving night has turned into a train wreck of epic proportions. The media is going to feed off this carcass for the rest of the year, and well into the next.

When Tiger attempted to drive away from his mansion on that fateful night he was the world`s most famous sports and marketing icon, when he arrived back home after a short stay in the hospital he was a disgraced and reviled figure.

Tiger`s Cadillac suffered thousands of dollars in damage, but this scandal has cost Tiger Woods untold millions. The chastened golfer was forced to rewrite his pre-nuptial agreement, guaranteeing his aggrieved wife about $80 million if she stays married to him for seven years. There are unsubstantiated media reports that Tiger gave one of his mistresses a million dollar payout to keep quiet about their sexual relationship.

Tiger Woods cries like a schoolgirl, begging the media to extend him a measure of privacy. When Tiger Woods sold his soul to the corporations he shills for, he gave away his right to privacy. Tiger is a brand name, and he is squarely in the public domain. Tiger used his wife and family to burnish his public image, turnabout is fair play, and reporters would be delinquent in their responsibilities if they didn`t scrutinize the superstar`s private life.

Tiger needs to realize that his reign as a sports and cultural icon is over! Tiger welcome to the tabloid realm of Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Amy Winehouse. Get used to the paparazzi, the jeers, the scorn, and the jokes of the late night comics.

Tiger Woods is the Wilt Chamberlain of the New Millennium -- cocktail waitresses that the golfing legend has bedded keep coming out of the woodwork. Wilt the Stilt claimed to have slept with over 20,000 women. I think Wilt`s record is safe, I doubt there are that many cocktail waitresses in the United States.

Tiger, forget about breaking the record of Jack Nicklaus, the pressure will be too great now that the press and the public has turned against you. A blogger like me is a pussy cat compared to fans who will hurl insults and profanities at you at the golf course.

For the good of the game and his marriage, Tiger should sit out next year. Tiger forget about your all-consuming desire to beat Jack`s cherished record, and focus on becoming a decent human being.
