Tiger Woods Finally Gets It: He's Taking "Indefinite Break" From Golf
"Tiger Woods says he`s taking `an indefinite break` from professional golf, according to a statement on his Web site Friday.
`I am deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children,` Woods said in the statement. `I want to say again to everyone that I am profoundly sorry and that I ask forgiveness. It may not be possible to repair the damage I`ve done, but I want to do my best to try.`"
After days of hiding in his mansion, and making one wrong move after another, Tiger Woods is finally doing the right thing.
Tiger finally fessed up, and called a spade a spade, he used the word infidelity instead of "transgressions." I won`t quibble that Tiger said "infidelity" instead of "countless infidelities."
The disgraced golfer is demonstrating to his wife and family, that he values his marriage more than his career by taking a break from the sport that he loves so much. Tiger needs to stay away from golf for at least a year, it will take time to repair his marriage and his image.
The chastened golfer will never again be the sports and marketing giant that he once was, but maybe the American public will forgive him one day.
