WASHINGTON, DC – On Thursday, April 26, 2007, U.S. Secretary of Energy Samuel W. Bodman will deliver remarks at the First Annual GridWeek Conference in Washington, DC, to highlight grid modernization.  Secretary Bodman is expected to discuss the National Interest Electric Transmission Corridors.

*NOTE: Prior to the Secretary’s speech the Director of the Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability Kevin Kolevar will host a policy briefing for members of the press.  Information provided during this briefing will be embargoed until the beginning of Secretary Bodman’s remarks at 1:30PM.
